About the Role:

We are seeking a Data Science Intern to join our data team and gain hands-on experience working on high-impact business problems. This role offers exposure to real-world datasets, machine learning workflows, and data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate closely with Data Scientists and Product teams to support analytics, experimentation, and model development.

As a Data Science Intern, you will:


• Prepare and clean datasets for analysis and model training.


• Support exploratory data analysis (EDA) and generate insightful visualizations.


• Write SQL queries and assist in basic data modeling tasks.


• Contribute to testing and evaluating machine learning models.


• Document workflows, results, and insights for internal knowledge sharing.


• Assist with ad-hoc data requests and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities


• Collect, clean, and organize datasets from multiple sources.


• Conduct EDA and create dashboards/visuals to communicate insights.


• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.


• Support the development and evaluation of ML models under guidance.


• Collaborate with Product and Data teams to address real business problems.


• Maintain detailed documentation of workflows and learnings.

Requirements


• Recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.


• Basic proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, matplotlib/seaborn).


• Foundational knowledge of SQL (queries, joins, data manipulation).


• Understanding of core ML concepts (supervised vs. unsupervised learning, regression, classification).


• Familiarity with Git/GitHub for version control.


• Strong attention to detail, curiosity, and eagerness to learn.


• Clear communication skills, with the ability to document findings effectively.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)


• Familiarity with Snowflake, DBT, or AWS.


• Exposure to ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.


• Prior project, research, or internship experience working with real-world datasets.


• Interest or exposure to the e-commerce domain.
