Job Description

MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

07 years relevant and hands-on maintenance experience in Oil & Gas/Refinery/Petrochemical/Fertilizer industry

Good HSEQ record in his past working.

Knowledge about Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO)

Mechanical maintenance and Troubleshooting activities in the continuous operation plants.

Installation, removal and fixing back of Pumps & Blowers, maintenance of all types of Valves, Vessels, Columns, Exchangers, Pipes, and other static equipment.

COOLING TOWER AND GEAR BOX:

  • Should have experience in Fan blade angle measurement work.
  • Should have overhauling experience of Gear box.
  • Should have experience of gear box oil top up and replacement activities.

Carry out maintenance activity independently as necessary. Handling different type of tools used for maintenance activities and work in high elevation with adequate safety protective equipment.

ROTATING EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES:

  • Maintenance activity of different types of pumps like single and multi-stage centrifugal pump, reciprocating pump.
  • Must have knowledge of different parts of pumps.
  • Hand on experience of alignment activities – rim and face/ lesser alignment.
  • Knowledge in different types of bearing and seals.
  • Should have experience of different types of couplings and its maintenance.
  • Thorough understanding of the Isometrics, mechanicals drawings.
  • Maintenance of different types of compressors like reciprocating, centrifugal and screw etc.
  • Should have knowledge of general inspection and replacement procedure of V-pulley.
  • Inspection and adjustment of V-belts.
  • Cleaning and replacement of lube oil filter.
  • Check work quality and take corrective action to rectify the detected faults through the work examination methods and standards.

EXPERIENCE IN STATICS EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE WORK:

  • Should have experience in different type of heat exchanger and maintenance activities like gasket replacement, hydro testing, tube replacement activities.
  • Should have knowledge of different type of valves and its maintenance activities.
  • Should have knowledge of different type of gaskets, flanges.
  • Should have sound knowledge of P&ID & isometric drawing.
  • Should have experience of vessels and column maintenance activities.
