Role & responsibilities
Software Head Automotive & Automation Systems
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of embedded and application software solutions for automotive manufacturing, automation systems, and vehicle integration.
- Define and implement the overall software architecture, technology roadmap, and coding standards, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and compliance with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teamsincluding hardware, electrical, and mechanical engineers—to achieve seamless software-hardware integration across sensors, controllers, and robotic systems.
- Oversee the design and validation of control algorithms, real-time operating systems, and communication interfaces to optimize manufacturing efficiency and system responsiveness.
- Drive innovation by adopting advanced technologies such as IoT, AI/ML, cloud connectivity, and data analytics to enhance automation, predictive maintenance, and operational intelligence.
- Establish rigorous software testing, debugging, and validation protocols to ensure product reliability, safety, and compliance with automotive and industrial standards.
- Engage with manufacturing and operations teams to analyze process requirements, identify automation opportunities, and translate them into effective software-driven solutions.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing software engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of software architecture, design methodologies, and testing procedures to support traceability, audits, and future development.
- Monitor emerging trends, regulatory changes, and evolving technologies in automotive electronics, Industry 4.0, and automation to guide strategic decision-making and innovation initiatives.
