Role Overview

As an Associate Architect, you will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and high-performance technology solutions that power PharmEasy's digital ecosystem.

You will work closely with product managers, engineering teams, and senior architects to translate business requirements into robust technical architectures while ensuring system reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Architecture :

- Design, document, and review end-to-end system architectures for new products, features, and integrations.

- Ensure solutions align with PharmEasy's overall technology vision and architectural standards.

Technical Leadership :

- Collaborate with engineering teams to guide design decisions, resolve technical challenges, and ensure high-quality delivery.

- Provide mentorship and support to senior developers/tech leads.

Scalability & Performance :

- Architect solutions that handle large-scale transactions, real-time data processing, and millions of active users.

- Optimize systems for speed, reliability, and cost efficiency.

Security & Compliance :

- Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, local compliance norms).

- Design architectures with data privacy, security, and integrity at the core.

Innovation & Best Practices :

- Evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and tools that can improve efficiency or user experience.

- Drive adoption of best practices in microservices, APIs, cloud-native development, and DevOps.

- Cross-functional Collaboration :

- Partner with product, business, and operations teams to align technical solutions with business goals.

- Work with data engineering and analytics teams to design data pipelines and platforms.

Qualifications & Skills :

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

to 12 years of experience in software engineering with at least 2-3 years in architecture or system design roles.

- Proven experience in designing large-scale distributed systems, preferably in ecommerce, logistics, healthcare, or fintech domains.

- Strong expertise in :

a. Backend : Java or Python.

b. Frontend : React, Angular, or

c. Databases : MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, or similar.

d. Cloud & Infra : AWS / GCP / Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines.

e. Architecture styles : Microservices, event-driven architecture, REST/gRPC APIs, messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.

- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance technical trade-offs with business priorities.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
