Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our organizations database systems. The ideal candidate will ensure the reliability, performance, security, and scalability of databases while supporting both development and production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain enterprise database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Ensure database performance, availability, and security through proactive monitoring and tuning.
- Design and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies; perform regular data backups and restore tests.
- Monitor and optimize query performance using tools and techniques such as indexing, query plans, and caching.
- Manage database access and user permissions in compliance with security best practices.
- Automate routine maintenance tasks using scripts or tools (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python).
Required :
- Proficiency in one or more major RDBMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Strong SQL skills; experience with stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
- Experience with backup/recovery tools and disaster recovery strategies.
- Familiarity with monitoring and performance tuning tools (e.g., OEM, SQL Profiler, pgAdmin, SolarWinds).
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix and/or Windows Server environments.
