About The Role
We are seeking an experienced
Azure Data Engineer
to join our Data Platforms team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in
Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, SQL, and Python
, with a solid understanding of data engineering concepts and data warehouse (DWH) design. This role requires excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with experience working in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows on Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Work extensively with Azure Databricks for data processing, transformation, and integration.
  • Implement and optimize data warehouse (DWH) solutions, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Write efficient SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation, data cleansing, and transformation tasks.
  • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance across all projects.
  • Contribute actively in Agile ceremonies and work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 6–9 years of professional experience in Data Engineering, with a strong focus on Azure ecosystem.

  • Hands-on expertise in:

  • Azure Databricks

  • Azure Data Factory (ADF)

  • Strong understanding of Data Warehouse (DWH) concepts.

  • Proficiency in SQL (writing complex queries, optimization).
  • Hands-on experience in Python for data engineering tasks.
  • Knowledge of core data engineering principles and concepts.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile methodology.

Good to Have (Optional)

  • Exposure to Azure Synapse Analytics or other cloud-based DWH tools.
  • Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices for Data Engineering (CI/CD for data pipelines).
  • Familiarity with Big Data technologies (Spark, Hadoop ecosystem).
