Job Description

DESIGN ENGINEER

  • Expertise in designing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and single-line diagrams for protection panels, MV (Medium Voltage) switchgear, and RMUs. This includes detailed knowledge of control and protection and interlock philosophy.
  • Ability to select appropriate and compliant components (e.g., circuit breakers, relays, instrument transformers, surge arresters, meters, busbars) considering factors like voltage levels, current ratings, short-circuit withstand capability, and duty cycle.
  • In-depth knowledge of various protection schemes and relay settings for different equipment (transformers, feeders, motors, generators) using numerical and electromechanical relays. This is crucial for protection panels and switchgear.
  • Advanced skill in using relevant Electrical software is preferred (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) for design documentation and drafting.
