Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

We are looking for a Senior SDET with strong experience in performance testing and engineering using K6 for API and microservices-based platforms. The ideal candidate will collaborate with developers, DevOps, and QA teams to design, implement, and execute scalable load testing strategies ensuring high system reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain performance test scripts using K6 and K6 Cloud for APIs and web applications.
• Define performance KPIs (latency, throughput, error rate, percentile metrics) and establish SLA/SLO baselines.
• Integrate K6 tests with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Bamboo, or Azure DevOps).
• Conduct load, stress, soak, and scalability tests, analyze results, and identify performance bottlenecks.
• Use observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic, or Datadog) to correlate test metrics with infrastructure performance.
• Collaborate with development and architecture teams to optimize application and API performance.
• Provide performance tuning recommendations across code, configuration, and infrastructure layers.
• Prepare and present comprehensive performance reports and improvement plans.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 6 years of overall QA/SDET experience with 2 years in performance testing.
• Hands-on expertise in K6 scripting using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with K6 Cloud and integrating with CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed architectures.
• Experience analyzing system performance using APM and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic, Datadog).
• Familiarity with AWS/Azure cloud environments and containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to or Go-based systems.
• Experience in automation frameworks (Playwright or Selenium).
• Knowledge of performance profiling tools and CI/CD test orchestration.
