Role & responsibilities :
Clinical Care
- Provide expert consultation, diagnosis, and treatment to patients with neurological disorders including stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, headaches, multiple sclerosis, and neuro-infections.
- Conduct detailed neurological examinations and interpret neuroimaging, EEG, EMG/NCS, and other diagnostic tests.
- Manage both outpatient (OPD) and inpatient (IPD) neurology services, including critically ill patients in ICU settings.
Administer specialized neurological procedures
Emergency & Acute Neurology
Attend neurological emergencies such as acute stroke (IV thrombolysis/thrombectomy referral), seizures/status epilepticus, and neurotrauma.
Participate in the hospitals emergency and on-calls as required.
Coordination & Collaboration
Collaborate with other specialists including neurosurgeons, intensivists, general physicians for comprehensive patient care.
Coordinate with radiology and laboratory departments for prompt diagnosis and decision-making.
Documentation & Compliance
Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, NABH accreditation standards, and medico-legal guidelines.
Patient Education & Communication
Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, medication adherence, prognosis, and lifestyle modifications.
- Ensure empathetic, clear, and culturally sensitive communication.
