We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Credit Risk.
In this role, you will:
Proven track record through initial onboarding to undertake bespoke, high quality financial analysis for Global Banking, Commercial Banking (CIB) and CRE segments for clients under any of SCU engagement level. Analyze supplemental data including Security and guarantee related information, Enterprise Valuation, Appraisal & Field Exam reports to evaluate existing Risk exposure and support in developing appropriate Risk mitigating strategies. Ability to collate and comprehend data from multiple sources and appropriately calculate Loan Impairment Charges, in strict compliance with regulatory and policy mandates. Manage customer relationships and handle all credit and operational issues relating to the customer. In addition, manage the accounting entries associated with SCU managed customers in the UAE and other countries under HBME. Provide extensive support to involved teams and is accountable for hands-on delivery of various activities Collaborate with the Senior Manager(s) and Relationship Managers on credit related issues/operations, and accompany them to client/lender meetingsManage the credit application process including, preparation of credit applications based on analysis of financial reports, projected cash flows, and other data sources / market intelligence. Calculation of Stage 3 IFRS9 impairments (ECL) based on the Bank's policies and using the systems available. Liaison with various stakeholders (including clients) for timely facilitation/execution of loan and security documentsTo be successful, you will:
Academics - Graduate degree in accounting/ business/ finance/ economics/ related field or equivalent Qualifications in Finance/ CA/ ICWA/ CS/ CAIIB preferred.7+ years of post-qualification experience in handling small business or commercial credits and dealing with customers and government agencies or equivalent (relevant loan workouts and/or commercial lending and/or commercial recovery experience).Strong team player able to work cooperatively with existing SCU RMs and SCU/WMR Management.Customer centric mind-set.Resilience to work under pressure to meet aggressive deadlines.Ability to analyze loan documentation including syndicated credit agreements, analyze complex corporate financial statements as well as personal net worth statements and to negotiate loan terms both directly with borrowers and work with large loan bank groups.Strong analytical skills with ability to quickly interpret data & facts to arrive at meaningful conclusions and assess the business/ financial prospects of the borrowers.Ability to work with outside legal counsel in litigation matters and loan and credit agreement amendments, interface professionally and support third party vendors, handle loan sales and to manage other real estate owned property (ORE).You'll achieve more at HSBC
