Job Summary:

The Business Finance Controller is responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes to ensure strong financial health and regulatory compliance. The role involves providing strategic insights, optimizing cost efficiencies, and ensuring accurate financial statements in alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Develop and manage financial strategies to support business goals.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for improvements.

Accounting & Compliance:

  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS/GAAP.
  • Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure audit readiness.
  • Ensure timely tax filings and compliance with regulatory financial requirements.

Business Partnering & Cost Control:

  • Work closely with department heads to optimize costs and drive profitability.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement financial control measures.
  • Provide financial insights to support operational decision-making.

Cash Flow & Risk Management:

  • Monitor cash flow and ensure liquidity to meet business needs.
  • Assess financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage financial reporting, ensuring transparency and accuracy.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

  • Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure efficiency and high performance.
  • Collaborate with senior management to drive financial initiatives.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: CA
  • Experience: 8+ years in financial management, controlling, or accounting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and financial modeling tools.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
