The eligibility, Job description, emoluments and other terms & conditions are as under: -

1) Project Scientist II (Pharma - Biotherapeutics) 1 Vacancy

Essential Qualification & experience: -

Doctoral degree in science or Master's degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent; and

03 years' experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities & services.

Monthly Consolidated Emoluments:- Rs. 67,000/- + HRA

Maximum Age limit: 40 Years.

2) Project Scientist II (Environmental Science) / Project Scientist-II (Agronomy) – 1 Vacancy

Essential Qualification & experience: -

For Project Scientist II (Environmental Science)

Doctoral degree in science or Master's degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent; and

03 years' experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities & services.

Project Scientist-II (Agronomy)

Doctoral degree in science or Master's degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent; and

03 years' experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities & services.

Monthly Consolidated Emoluments:- Rs. 67,000/- + HRA

Maximum Age limit: 40 Years.

3) Project Associate II (Biotechnology / Microbiology / Molecular Biology) – 1 Vacancy

Essential Qualification & experience: -

Master's Degree in Biotechnology/ Agricultural Sciences/ Natural Sciences or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Molecular Biology from a recognized University or equivalent; and

Two (02) years' experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities & services.

Monthly Consolidated Emoluments:- Rs. 35,000/- + HRA (for NET or similar level examinations) and Rs. 28,000/- + HRA (for non-NET candidates)

Maximum Age limit: 40 Years.

About the Centre

Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is an institution of national importance and statutory body established by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India with regional and global partnerships synergizing with the programmes of UNESCO as a Category II Centre. The primary focus of RCB is to provide world class education, training and conduct innovative research at the interface of multiple disciplines to create high quality human resource in disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas of biotechnology in a globally competitive research milieu.

The Biosafety Support Unit (BSU), established by DBT at RCB, supports regulatory functions, training, capacity building, and communication activities for biosafety awareness and regulation. The key functions of BSU:-

• Reviewing scientific data and regulatory compliance
• Facilitating RCGM meetings and maintaining regulatory websites
• Developing and updating guidelines for emerging biotechnologies
• Conducting training, workshops, and capacity-building programs
• BSL-3 facility certification
