Role Description

We are seeking an innovative and curious Embedded Systems Engineer with 2-4 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will be a key player in implementing and transforming customer sites from older mechanical systems to our new smart bin solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has owned or been a significant part of interesting solutions and is ready to innovate in a hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • On-site Implementation:
     Travel to customer locations to implement and commission our new smart bin solutions, ensuring a smooth and successful transition from old mechanical systems.
  • System Transformation:
     Oversee the complete transformation of customer sites, from initial setup to final operation.
  • Embedded System Design:
     Contribute to the embedded system design, including schematic creation, PCB layout, prototyping, and design reviews.
  • Firmware and Software Development:
     Develop and deliver firmware for our products, including the Source Scale and Source Gateway.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
     Provide comprehensive documentation, including schematics, PCB layout files, Bill of Materials (BOM), and design reports.
  • Problem-Solving:
     Utilize your experience to troubleshoot and provide solutions for complex technical issues that arise during implementation.
  • Innovation:
     Actively contribute to improving our solutions and processes, bringing new ideas and a sense of ownership to the projects you work on.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in embedded systems design and development.
  • Demonstrated experience with a variety of interesting and complex embedded solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of embedded system design, schematic creation, and PCB layout.
  • Proficiency in developing and debugging firmware.
  • A proven track record of taking ownership of a solution or a significant portion of a project.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites.
  • A curious and innovative mindset, with a passion for learning and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
