Data Scientist – Garment Manufacturing

Location: Wazirpur, New Delhi

Job Type: Full-time

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Data Scientist to join our garment manufacturing team. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to drive efficient production processes, forecast market trends, and support continuous improvement across operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and manage data collection systems for production, inventory, and sales.
  • Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and drive practical process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards for monitoring key performance indicators (KPI) such as throughput, defect rates, and downtime.
  • Create predictive models to optimize inventory, forecast demand, and plan production schedules.
  • Collaborate with production and management teams to implement data-driven solutions.
  • Conduct trend analysis to inform product designs and respond to changing consumer preferences.
  • Monitor quality control metrics and recommend actionable improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting—preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python or R; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Google Data Studio) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical team members.
  • Practical attitude, able to implement solutions with limited resources.
