Robotics Platform Software Engineer

Role & responsibilities

  • Develop, debug, test, and troubleshoot software throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Build and optimize state machines for managing complex robotic workflows.
  • Design user-friendly installation and configuration procedures for robotic systems.
  • Implement system monitoring tools to ensure continuous operational health across environments.
  • Refactor and iterate on existing code to improve performance and scalability.
  • Understand and contribute to existing architecture and documentation.
  • Follow and enhance SDLC processes for consistent software delivery.
  • Develop and maintain unit and system-level tests.
  • Create and maintain architectural diagrams to illustrate data flow and system design.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Education: Bachelors or higher in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with C++.
  • Experience with Robot Operating System (ROS).
  • Strong understanding of system software, network stacks, state machines, and SQL databases.
  • Experience with Linux, Docker, and Git development environments.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Self-driven and able to take ownership in a fast-paced, technical environment.
