Location: Viman Nagar, Pune, India

Job Type: Full-time/Permanent

Overview:

As a Data Scientist at ENGEL, you perform data-analysis on Engel-machine data (primarily python and SQL in databricks), refine analysis-requests with stakeholders from various departments and support other analysists with their code and software-architecture including developing shared libraries or support with project setup tasks like securing credentials and git-integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executing data-analysis on proprietary Engel machine data
  • Reviewing and supporting python-notebooks of other analysts
  • Developing libraries containing common parser and queries
  • Cooperation with data-engineers to improve infrastructure and architecture of Engels data platform

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in data/computer science, programming, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with SQL and python or related languages.
  • Experience with PySpark and databricks is highly regarded.
  • Data-Engineering skills (ETL pipelines, data-models and database architecture)
  • Basic knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (terraform, yaml) is an advantage

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
  • Strong communication skills, especially in communicating technical problems and presenting results to stakeholders of various background
