Provides support to identify and resolve issues with server system infrastructure after escalation from the Helpdesk Team. Under the direction of the Server Supervisor, configure, evaluate, monitor and maintain server hardware and systems in order to support the availability and stability of business systems.

Server Operation:

Follow server procedures to perform day-to-day operational activities to maintain the stability of the server and system infrastructure, including patching of servers, hardware upgrades, user account maintenance, and configuring of systems. Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required systems and data are successfully backed up to recovery tapes, and media is sent off site as necessary.

Customer Support & Troubleshooting:

Review escalated server support tickets and handle first line of server troubleshooting. Follow procedures to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve server related hardware, system, and application issues. Escalate unresolved server related issues.

Technology Implementation and Training:

Provide support in evaluating and implementing server technologies and systems under the supervision of the Server Supervisor. Install, configure, implement and document server systems to support business objectives. Provide support in conducting server knowledge training and contribute to knowledge management process.

System Performance and Security:

Monitor and review system and application logs, and perform daily systems monitoring to pro-actively discover, resolve, and escalate issues. Perform regular security monitoring to identify possible intrusions.

Competencies, Skills and Behaviors:

  • Minimum 3 year working experience of server
  • Knowledge on Windows Servers, AD, DNS, DHCP, Exchange Mail Server
  • Preferred Skills: MS Azure, Office Online 365, SQL Administrator, Storage NAS
  • Problem solving skills
  • Good English skills (verbal and written)
