We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about coffee and dedicated to providing exceptional service to our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, as well as maintaining a clean and organized workspace. You will also have the opportunity to engage with customers, take orders, and ensure their satisfaction with each visit. This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where you can showcase your barista skills and contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages according to established recipes and standards.
  • Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other equipment efficiently and safely.
  • Interact with customers in a friendly and courteous manner, taking orders accurately and providing recommendations when requested.
  • Ensure that all orders are prepared promptly and accurately, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently, following proper cash handling procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the coffee preparation and service areas, including equipment, countertops, and utensils.
  • Restock supplies as needed, including coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients.
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure the safety of our customers and compliance with health codes.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including setup and cleanup tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide excellent customer service and support overall café operations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role preferred.
  • Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, and latte art.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • A positive attitude and a passion for delivering high-quality beverages and service.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and techniques.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in food handling or barista skills is a plus.
