The job is to translate web designs created by graphics team into mobile optimized / responsive xHTML/CSS/Javascript templates that are integrated into WordPress (Template Development) and customize/extend the functionality of wordpress for custom requirements (Plugin Development)

Key Skills:

  • Experience with PHP and MySQL is a must
  • Front-end development with HTML 5, Javascript, CSS 3 & jQuery
  • WordPress template development
  • WordPress back-end customization and extension
  • Knowledge of WordPress (Plugin / theme development / API), PHP, HTML, Javascript and CSS
  • Experience in building SEO Optimized Wordpress sites compatible across the major browsers including mobile browsers
  • Experience in building Responsive Wordpress Websites
  • Ability to troubleshoot cross-browser compatibility issues including mobile browsers
  • Familiarity with web standards, user experience and keeping up with best practices and web standards

Responsibilities:

  • Integrating WordPress with other web based applications
  • Managing, debugging, extending & documenting jobs from start to finish
  • Redevelop, extend, and/or enhance existing code
  • Identifying areas that can be improved and turning that into functionality from start to finish
  • Design and implement new features, enhancements, and interactive tools for suite of WordPress-managed websites
  • Code and maintain fully-optimized, mobile-friendly, responsive WordPress site
  • Design, maintain and build plugin integration for existing WordPress blog and website.
  • Keep updated with WordPress enhancements and updates and make recommendations on how they can be used to improve the site.
