Java Backend Developer

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Back-End Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience with strong expertise in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate, along with hands-on experience in cloud environments, application deployment, and database management. The role involves working with modern technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), with a strong focus on delivering high-quality code in an agile environment.

Required Skills & Experience:

Accountability

Designing, building, and maintaining scalable and high-performance backend services using Java, Spring, and related technologies.

Developing secure, well-documented RESTful APIs to support front-end and third-party integration needs.

Ensuring code quality, reusability, and maintainability through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to development standards.

Managing data persistence, performance optimization, and schema design using relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.

Supporting robust application deployment and operations using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS infrastructure.

Scope

Core focus on building business logic, services, data layers, and APIs using Java (Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate).

API Design & Integration: Creating and maintaining endpoints for internal and external consumption.

Designing and managing SQL databases with performance, scalability, and data integrity in mind.

Working in cloud-native environments (AWS) with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

Managing CI/CD pipelines and ensuring seamless integration and deployment practices using tools like Jenkins.

On Collaboration part, interfacing with front-end developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and product managers for end-to-end delivery.

Participating in code reviews and mentoring junior developers to promote engineering excellence as a part of mentorship & code quality.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors or masters degree in computer science or a related field.

Experience:

o Minimum of 5 years of strong proficiency in Java and J2EE with a solid understanding of back-end development

o Expertise in Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate frameworks.

o Experience with object-oriented Programming, and Proficiency in working with PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.

o Minimum one-year hands on experience with MongoDB.

o Experience in application deployment using Docker and Kubernetes and Cloud experience with AWS and RDS.

Skills & Competencies:

o Strong proficiency in Java and J2EE, with expertise in Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate frameworks.

o Strong understanding of AWS cloud platforms and cloud database integration.

o Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing and deployment along with experience in system design, algorithms, and data structures.

o Experience writing and consuming RESTful APIs and Experience in Agile/Scrum environments is a plus.
