Job Description: Android Developer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to take full ownership of our Driver App. You will be responsible for delivering a reliable, high-performance, and intuitive mobile experience that powers our mobility operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain the Driver App using modern Android frameworks and Jetpack Compose.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, backend, QA) to deliver features end-to-end.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and design guidelines.
  • Optimize app performance, stability, and responsiveness across diverse Android devices.
  • Implement modern architectural patterns such as MVVM or Clean Architecture.
  • Identify and fix bugs, crashes, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 1–3 years of experience developing Android applications.
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin (Java knowledge is a plus).
  • Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and Android Jetpack components (View Model, Live Data, Navigation, Room, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Kotlin Coroutines, asynchronous programming, and multithreading concepts.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating mobile apps with backend services.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Familiarity with Firebase, Crashlytics, or analytics tools.
  • Understanding of CI/CD, app signing, and Play Store release processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with maps, navigation, or location-based services.
  • Exposure to Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger).
  • Understanding of Material Design principles and mobile UI/UX best practices.
  • Basic understanding of Flutter or other cross-platform frameworks.
