Job Title : Data Scientist - Finance Analytics (Global CoE)

Location : Mumbai (Strictly Mumbai-based; no relocation)

Role Type : Individual Contributor

Shift Timing : 1 :30 PM - 10 :30 PM IST

About the Role :

We are hiring for a leading global advisory and analytics powerhouse that partners with Fortune 500 organizations worldwide. Their Finance Analytics Centre of Excellence (CoE) is building world-class capabilities in forecasting, cost analytics, risk modeling, and AI-led insights.

As a Data Scientist in this team, you will apply advanced data science techniques to solve complex financial and business problems, deliver predictive models, and design actionable insights for leadership teams across global functions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Build predictive models for financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

- Analyze large-scale datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and cost optimization opportunities.

- Apply machine learning for financial risk assessment and scenario analysis.

- Design insightful dashboards using Power BI/Tableau for business leaders.

- Collaborate with cross-functional global teams in Finance, HR, Sales Ops, and IT.

- Ensure data accuracy, governance, and compliance standards are met.

Requirements :

- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist.

- Strong hands-on expertise with Hadoop, Kafka, Hive, Python, R, SQL, Power BI (all mandatory).

- Proven experience in churn data transformation, cost analytics, and AI-driven solutions.

- Strong financial acumen and ability to translate data into business insights.

- Prior BFSI/Wealth/Investment/Insurance sector experience is highly preferred.

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or related field.
