Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished SEO Manager to lead Xylem Learning's organic growth strategy across all business verticals. The ideal candidate will be a data-driven strategist with deep expertise in SEO, technical optimization, content strategy, and emerging AI-powered tools. This role demands both hands-on execution and leadership, with responsibilities spanning from enhancing search visibility to driving qualified traffic and mentoring a growing SEO team.

Key Responsibilities

1. SEO Strategy & Execution

• Design and implement tailored SEO strategies for diverse product verticals (NEET, JEE, Commerce Pro, Upskilling, etc.).
• Establish measurable monthly and quarterly targets for traffic, rankings, and organic lead generation.
• Drive on-page and off-page optimization through a structured, data-backed approach.

2. Technical SEO

• Conduct regular site audits to identify and resolve crawl, indexation, and performance issues.
• Partner with technology and design teams to optimize architecture, responsiveness, Core Web Vitals, and load times.
• Ensure accurate implementation of schema markup, canonicalization, and XML sitemaps.

3. Content Optimization

• Collaborate with subject matter experts and content teams to deliver high-quality, search-optimized content.
• Perform keyword research, SERP analysis, and competitor benchmarking to inform strategy.
• Maintain content freshness through regular updates and optimization.

4. Analytics & Reporting

• Track and analyze KPIs such as organic traffic, bounce rate, conversion rate, and keyword rankings.
• Leverage tools including Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and AI-driven analytics.
• Deliver monthly reports with actionable insights and strategic recommendations for leadership.

5. Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Manage and mentor a team of SEO specialists, content creators, and outreach professionals.
• Conduct training sessions, performance reviews, and cross-functional knowledge sharing.
• Work closely with PPC, Social Media, and CRM teams to ensure integrated digital marketing campaigns.

6. Trend Monitoring & Innovation

• Stay informed on Google algorithm changes, AI advancements, and industry best practices.
• Recommend and implement innovative approaches, including automation, A/B testing, and AI-driven SEO workflows.
• Explore emerging opportunities in local SEO, video SEO, and voice search optimization.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience

• 8–10 years of progressive SEO experience, ideally within EdTech or high-growth digital environments.
• Strong expertise in technical SEO, keyword strategy, and AI-assisted optimization.
• Proficiency with CMS platforms (WordPress preferred), HTML, and basic web development.
• Exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Tools & Platforms

• SEO Tools: Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Moz, Ubersuggest.
• AI Tools: ChatGPT, Jasper, Surfer SEO, Frase, or equivalent platforms.
• Project Management: Asana, Trello, Notion, or similar collaboration tools.
