Job Title: Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) ConsultantRole SummaryThe Healthcare RCM Consultant partners with provider organizations toanalyze, design, and optimize end -to -end revenue cycle processes. You'll leadassessments of current billing, coding, claims, and collections workflows,recommend improvements, and guide implementation of technology, policies, andtraining to accelerate cash flow and minimize denials.Key ResponsibilitiesLead discovery workshops with clinical, billing, and finance teams to document AS -IS workflows and pain points.Conduct root -cause analysis of revenue leakage, denials patterns, and A/R aging trends.Design TO -BE processes for patient access, charge capture, claims submission, denial management, and revenue integrity.Configure and optimize RCM modules in billing and practice management systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech).Develop integration specifications between EHR, billing engine, clearinghouse, and payer portals.Establish KPIs and dashboards to track days in A/R, denial rates, clean claim rate, and net collection rate.Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and train end users on new workflows, system updates, and reporting tools.Advise on coding compliance, charge description master (CDM) governance, and payer policy changes.Provide go -live support and post -implementation reviews to ensure sustained performance gains.Mentor internal teams and collaborate with cross -functional leads to drive continuous revenue cycle improvement.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle roles, such as billing, coding, denial management, or RCM consulting.Demonstrated track record leading at least two full life -cycle RCM implementations or optimization engagements.In -depth knowledge of charge capture methodologies, medical coding (ICD -10, CPT, HCPCS), and payer reimbursement policies.Experience configuring major RCM/PM systems and integrating with EHR platforms.Required Skills and ExperienceStrong analytical skills with proficiency in data extraction, SQL queries, and Excel modeling.Expertise in denial management strategies and appeals processes.Solid understanding of compliance standards (HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid regulations).Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into functional design specifications.Excellent communication and stakeholder management, from C -suite sponsorship to front -line operations.Project management skills, comfortable with Agile or Waterfall delivery methodologies.Preferred SkillsCertifications such as Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP).Familiarity with robotic process automation (RPA) tools for revenue cycle tasks.Prior exposure to patient access technologies (insurance eligibility, pre -certification modules).Advanced reporting experience in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).Education & Certifications LevelFieldBachelor's or Master'sHealthcare Administration, FinanceBusiness, Information SystemsExample Certifications -Certifications (Preferred)Revenue Cycle Management, CodingCRCR, CPC, CHFP, CPHIMSInterested candidates should share a resume and a brief summary of theirmost impactful revenue cycle transformation projects.
