Wedding Video & Album Editor – Job Description

Position Overview:

The Wedding Video & Album Editor is responsible for creating visually stunning, emotionally engaging, and professionally edited wedding films and photo albums. This role involves transforming raw footage and photographs into memorable stories that capture the essence, emotions, and highlights of a couple's special day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit raw wedding video footage into cinematic highlight films, full-length documentaries, teasers, and reels.
  • Organize and enhance photographs for high-quality album design and digital galleries.
  • Apply color correction, transitions, titles, and sound design to achieve a cohesive and polished final product.
  • Select appropriate background music that complements the couple's theme and emotions.
  • Design custom wedding albums with creative layouts, typography, and storytelling flow.
  • Collaborate with photographers, videographers, and clients to understand their vision and preferences.
  • Ensure timely delivery of final edited videos and albums within client deadlines.
  • Maintain backup and file management systems for all media assets.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
  • Experience with photo editing and album design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Smart Albums, or InDesign).
  • Strong storytelling sense with attention to detail, pacing, and emotional impact.
  • Knowledge of color grading, audio mixing, and cinematic techniques.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Creativity and passion for wedding aesthetics and trends.

Preferred Experience:

  • 1–3 years of experience in wedding or event editing.
  • A portfolio showcasing previous wedding films and albums.
  • Familiarity with drone footage, slow-motion editing, and multi-camera syncing.
