Role Summary:
The Associate Pediatrician will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents under the supervision of senior pediatric consultants. The role involves clinical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of pediatric patients, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care. The position requires flexibility to work in rotational shifts, including day, evening, night, weekends, and on-call duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric patients.
- Manage inpatient, outpatient, and emergency pediatric cases.
- Assist in neonatal care, including resuscitation and stabilization in NICU.
- Support preventive care programs such as immunizations and child health check-ups.
- Monitor patient progress, update medical records, and communicate with families regarding treatment plans.
- Assist senior pediatricians in ward rounds, procedures, and surgeries when required.
- Respond promptly to pediatric emergencies and provide critical care support.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, allied health professionals, and administrative teams to ensure smooth patient care delivery.
- Participate in continuous medical education, departmental meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain strict compliance with hospital protocols, medical ethics, and statutory regulations.
Work Schedule:
- Rotational shifts covering morning, evening, and night duties.
- Weekend and holiday duties on rotation as per roster.
- On-call availability for emergencies when required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- MBBS with MD/DNB/DCH in Pediatrics from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the Medical Council of India/State Medical Council.
- 0–3 years of experience in pediatric practice (fresh postgraduates may be considered).
- Clinical experience in NICU, PICU, or pediatric emergency care preferred.
