Job Title: Sr. Lead – General Ledger & Reporting

Location: Chennai, India

Reporting To: Assistant Manager / Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team with at least 3 years of experience in team management.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in working shifts and on holidays, when required.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the General Ledger (GL) and Reporting team.
  • Monitor team performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Conduct internal cross-training and knowledge sharing sessions for team members and new joiners.
  • Motivate and guide team members to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Conduct biannual staff appraisals and create performance improvement plans.
  • Uphold high ethical and moral standards in all operations.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ensure process control and compliance, avoiding any lapses in execution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education & Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or Accounting (mandatory).
  • Master's Degree / CA Inter / CWA Inter preferred.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing a team of two or more members.
  • 8–12 years of experience in General Ledger and Reporting processes.
  • Strong knowledge of GL, Reporting, and internal control mechanisms to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Proven record in process improvement initiatives.
  • Experienced in stakeholder management and business communication.
