Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will gain practical exposure to accounting principles while supporting our day-to-day financial activities.

Stipend: ₹4,000 per month

Location: Prabhadevi (Worli), Mumbai

Work Mode: Work from Office (5 days a week)

Timings: 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM

Qualifications

Education (Required)

● Recent graduates in bachelors degree in commerce (B. Com), Banking and Finance (BAF), Management Studies (BMS) with specialization in Accounts/Finance.

● Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in Accounts & Finance.

Key Responsibilities

● Assist with daily accounting tasks including data entry, invoice processing, and transaction recording.

● Help maintain and update financial records in accounting software.

● Assist in bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.

● Assist with expense report processing and reimbursements.

● Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

● Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.

Must have

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Ability to articulate financial information to stakeholders clearly.

● SSC & HSC: Minimum 80% or above

● Graduation: Minimum CGPA of 8.42 or above

● Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and concepts.

● Proficiency in ledger reconciliation and maintaining general ledger.

● Sound knowledge of journal entries and double-entry bookkeeping.

● Understanding of taxation - both Direct Tax (Income Tax, TDS) and Indirect Tax (GST).

● Strong foundation in accounting standards and procedures.

● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

Good to have

● Certification or courses in Advanced Tally ERP.

● Advanced Excel certification or demonstrated expertise.

● Advanced Accounting courses or certifications.

● Previous internship or work experience in accounting/finance.

● Familiarity with other accounting software. (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar)

Selection Process

Our hiring process consists of three rounds:

Round 1: Online Assessment

● Evaluation of accounting knowledge and aptitude

● Basic Excel and analytical skills test

Round 2: Virtual Interview

● Technical discussion on accounting concepts

● Assessment of communication skills

● Discussion of previous experience (if any)

Round 3: Face-to-Face Discussion

● Discussion of expectations and role details

● Assessment of cultural fit
