Role Overview

We are seeking a highly capable and self-driven
Java Back-End Software Engineer
to join our fast-paced engineering team in Gurgaon. The ideal candidate will have
8+ years of hands-on enterprise-level experience
in Java backend development and a proven ability to deliver scalable, maintainable, and high-performance backend systems.

This role demands strong technical ownership, problem-solving ability, and independence — the candidate should be able to deliver results proactively, without step-by-step supervision. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement backend services and APIs that power business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain
    robust, scalable, and secure RESTful APIs
    using
    Java and Spring Boot
    .
  • Work with
    relational databases (preferably Azure SQL)
    and develop
    efficient SQL queries
    using
    JDBC Template
    .
  • Implement
    unit tests
    and contribute to
    Test-Driven Development (TDD)
    initiatives.
  • Integrate and manage
    message bus systems
    such as
    Kafka
    or
    Azure Service Bus
    .
  • Apply
    Clean Code principles
    and adhere to best practices for maintainability and scalability.
  • Take initiative in
    identifying, analyzing, and resolving
    technical issues independently.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, fostering a culture of
    ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
    .
  • Work independently on
    ADO (Azure DevOps)
    tickets, applying creativity and sound judgment to deliver efficient solutions.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 8+ years
    of enterprise-level
    Java development experience
    .
  • Strong expertise in
    Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data, and related frameworks
    .
  • Proficiency in
    SQL
    and
    database interaction
    using
    JDBC Template
    .
  • Experience with
    Azure SQL
    or similar relational database systems.
  • Hands-on experience with
    Kafka
    or
    Azure Service Bus
    for messaging and event-driven architecture.
  • Strong understanding of
    unit testing frameworks
    and
    TDD
    practices.
  • Deep knowledge of
    Clean Code principles
    and
    software design patterns
    .
  • Proficiency in
    Git
    and working knowledge of
    Unix/Linux environments
    .
  • Excellent
    analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
    .
  • Proven ability to work
    independently
    , take initiative, and deliver without micromanagement.
