Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Purchase Associate to join our team in Mysuru, India. As a Purchase Associate, you will play a crucial role in our procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for our organization.
- Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, from requisition to order placement and delivery
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data in our procurement systems
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and fulfill their purchasing requirements
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to optimize the procurement process
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to prevent stockouts
- Resolve any issues related to product quality, delivery delays, or discrepancies
- Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities (both verbal and written)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles
- Experience in vendor management and contract negotiations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Professional certification in purchasing or supply management (e.g., CPSM, CPM) preferred
- Familiarity with local suppliers and market conditions in Mysuru and surrounding areas is a plus
