Principal Designer - StructuralJob Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced Onshore Designer to support our engineering and design team in delivering high-quality 3D and 2D design solutions for onshore oil & gas, petrochemical, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in layout and detailing using S3D, E3D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation, with a proven track record of working on multidisciplinary design projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update 3D models and 2D drawings for piping, structural, and equipment layouts.
- Interpret and apply engineering specifications, P&IDs, and project standards.
- Coordinate with engineering disciplines to ensure design consistency and clash-free models.
- Generate fabrication, construction, and as-built drawings.
- Perform model reviews and participate in design coordination meetings.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Maintain drawing records and revision control throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent.
- 5 to 20 years of experience in onshore design projects.
- Proficient in S3D (Smart 3D) and/or E3D (AVEVA Everything3D).
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation.
- Familiarity with onshore plant design standards and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.
