About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated
Application Engineer – Siemens NX
to join our engineering technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in Siemens NX CAD, enabling customization and automation, and driving best practices for digital design workflows. You will work closely with design, engineering, and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient usage of NX tools and deliver high-quality design outputs.

Key Responsibilities
1. Siemens NX Expertise

  • Provide hands-on support in
    NX CAD design
    , including solid modeling, surface modeling, assembly design, and drafting.
  • Develop and maintain
    NX standards, templates, drafting symbols, and design guidelines
    to ensure consistency.
  • Support and troubleshoot user issues related to NX design, modeling, drafting, and system performance.

2. Customization & Automation

  • Develop
    NX custom applications
    using NX Open, VB, or Python to automate repetitive tasks and optimize workflows.
  • Enhance system productivity by implementing custom tools, macros, and plugins.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify opportunities for automation or process improvement.

3. System Administration

  • Manage
    NX license installation, configuration, and maintenance
    (client & server-level).
  • Ensure smooth integration between NX and PLM systems such as
    Teamcenter
    .
  • Conduct system performance checks and coordinate with IT teams for upgrades or patches.

4. Training & Support

  • Conduct user training sessions on NX functionalities, best practices, and new implementations.
  • Prepare technical documentation, training materials, and knowledge base content.
  • Serve as the point of contact for design-related technical queries from project teams.

5. Collaboration & Innovation

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including product design, engineering, manufacturing, and PLM teams.
  • Participate in design reviews, tool validation, and engineering process standardization.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in CAD/PLM workflows and digital engineering tools.

Required Qualifications

  • B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech
    in Mechanical, Automobile, Aerospace, or related engineering disciplines.
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience
    in Siemens NX (Design, Modeling, Drafting).
  • Experience in
    NX license setup, installation, and configuration
    .
  • Knowledge of
    NX Open / VB / Python scripting
    for automation.
  • Familiarity with
    Teamcenter or similar PLM systems
    preferred.
  • Strong understanding of design fundamentals, GD&T, and engineering principles.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in creating
    custom NX tools, templates, checkers, and design rules
    .
  • Knowledge of
    CAD data management
    and workflows in PLM environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot system and user issues efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams.
  • Proactive mindset with a passion for digital engineering and process excellence.
