The selected intern will design items of furniture and related items for the mass market, in small batches or as one-off items. Furniture designers design furniture and related products for industrial, commercial, and domestic clients, balancing innovation, aesthetic appeal, and functionality.

Selected Intern's Day-to-day Responsibilities Include

  • Designing the working drawings for furniture pieces sofas, center tables, dining tables, dining chairs, beds, and single seaters, keeping in mind the ergonomics of the furniture.
  • Looking at factory production, ensuring the products designed are manufactured as per the drawings provided.
  • Handling clients and assisting in the selection of woods, metals, and fabrics for the finalization of the furniture.
  • Handling end-to-end needs of a project.
