Required Skills & Experience:

6 to 10+ years of experience in VMware administration.

Strong expertise in VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, SRM, and HA/DRS.

Strong Experience with DevOps, containers (Kubernetes/Docker), and hybrid cloud models.

Experience with VMware NSX or Horizon VDI is a plus.

VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV) or higher (VCAP, VCDX) preferred.

Experience in large enterprise environments (multi-site, thousands of VMs).

Knowledge of storage integration (SAN, NAS, iSCSI, NFS) with VMware.

Familiarity with Windows/Linux OS administration in virtualized environments.

Strong skills in performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Hands-on experience with backup/restore tools (Veeam, Commvault, etc.).

Scripting experience (PowerCLI, PowerShell, Python) for automation.

Exposure to cloud-based virtualization (VMware Cloud, AWS, Azure) is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide support for VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, and related VMware technologies.

Design, implement, and manage virtualized infrastructure, including clusters, hosts, resource pools, and VMs.

Perform upgrades, patching, migrations, and capacity planning of VMware environments.

Manage vMotion, DRS, HA, vSAN, SRM, and NSX where applicable.

Troubleshoot escalated issues related to VMs, hosts, networking, and storage integration.

Collaborate with storage, networking, and server teams for integrated infrastructure solutions.

Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies with tools like Veeam, Commvault, or similar.

Automate tasks using PowerCLI, PowerShell, or Python scripts.

Maintain documentation, SOPs, and ensure compliance with ITIL processes.

Participate in on-call support rotation and provide RCA for high-severity incidents.
