Key Responsibilities
- Policy Development and Implementation: Creates, updates, and implements hospital-wide quality policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation guidelines.
- Quality Assurance and Monitoring: Oversees quality assurance activities, including monitoring patient care, auditing documentation, and gathering data on patient outcomes, patient satisfaction, and adverse events.
- Process Improvement: Develops and implements quality improvement programs, using data to identify areas for improvement and to make suggestions for changes to policies and procedures.
- Staff Training and Development: Conducts training programs for hospital staff to raise awareness about quality standards, safety protocols, and to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Reporting and Analysis: Gathers and analyzes relevant data, producing statistical reports on hospital performance, patient satisfaction, and quality metrics for various reports.
- Risk Management: Works with clinical teams to assess and mitigate risks, ensuring health and safety standards are met throughout the hospital.
- Liaison and Collaboration: Collaborates with various departments, including clinical, administrative, and finance, to ensure quality goals are integrated across the organization.
- Compliance with Standards: Stays informed about and ensures the hospital's adherence to external standards and regulations, such as those set by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH).
