The Lead will use their core engineering capabilities to leverage python and software engineering for Test and Measurement. The applicant can expect to gain vast experience in addressing the key requirements in the semiconductor industry.
Position OverviewWe are looking for a Lead Software Engineer Python, who has strong engineering capabilities and a keen interest to learn and explore new libraries. The Lead will design and implement software for multiple applications such as Measurement & Automation, Semiconductor Post-Silicon Validation, and Cross-platform device GUIs.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Lead will work as part of a Venture team at Soliton that is young and ambitious, looking into new growth tracks. This team will explore the use of the most recent advancements to address the challenges of Test and Measurement.
Technical Expertise- You will Architect and Design service-based systems comprising frontend, backend, databases and AI services.
- Configure, Deploy and Scale systems and solutions using cloud infrastructure like Azure and AWS.
- Develop, Codevelop and Guide the team from the proposed architecture and design to a functional and scalable solution.
- You will establish the best coding practices to develop, debug and design user interfaces.
- You will lead and help the team generate and propose innovative ideas with impact analyses to customers.
- You will be setting the benchmark for the high standard of quality and attention to detail required to deliver beautiful and impactful solutions. You will take the lead to plan for and identify technical risks and issues.
- You will work with the Agile team to create a cohesive, common purpose and bring your team together to analyze performance metrics, retrospections and action plans.
- You will implement detailed Design with required prototypes to explore new concepts.
- You will play a key role in understanding the requirements and priorities of the customer and breaking them down for detailed estimation and planning. You will steer the execution of the plan and work closely with clients establishing strong business relationships. You will take the lead in Demos to clients and ensure high quality deliverables with required documentation.
- You will mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews and provide technical support to stakeholders in the organization.
- You will be the key lead in reporting on the status and development of Projects to senior team members. You will participate in project meetings with management and other team members.
- Extensive background as a Python developer with experience of 5-7 years and engineering graduation, preferably but not limited to the electronics background.
- Proficiency in Python asynchronous programming (asyncio) and strong understanding of microservices architecture.
- Good understanding of design pattern and Multithreading concepts.
- Hands on experience with CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks, specifically pytest and familiarity with DevOps practices.
- Prior experience in Team handling is a must.
- Experience with web frameworks such as FastAPI and Django for building API-driven applications.
- Experience in cloud platforms such as Azure/AWS for deploying and managing scalable services.
- Any academic knowledge or work experience in GenAI and/or self-driven projects would be a great plus.
