AEM Developer

The AEM Developer will play a vital role in the implementation of Adobe Experience Manager, including

the development, design, testing, and deployment of AEM content type models, workflows, templates,

and components. The AEM Developer participates in all phases of the software development lifecycle,

from requirements definition through service delivery and operational support, and is responsible for

producing high-quality solutions and accurate system design documentation.

Work Description

Develop AEM templates and components leveraging current AEM software releases

Develop and oversee OSGI bundles, AEM templates, AEM launches, and workflows

Evaluation of requirements, identification, estimate and execution of tasks for the design,

development and implementation of projects and operational changes

Works with support teams and product teams to solve common problems

Creates technical documentation

Collaborates with Quality Assurance (QA) Specialists and Product Owners to test and debug

software, diagnose, and resolve system issues, create release notes, operating procedures, and

technical documentation

Developer Skillset

Font-end Development Experience

o Strong technical foundation of AEM and web content management design and

development including AEM Sites, AEM Assets, Web Components

o Templates using AEM Sightly/HTL framework and Adobe Dispatcher

o Developing AEM templates and components using AEM and technologies such as JAVA,

JSP, XML, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON and HTML / DHTML

o Using modern AEM artifacts for content and experience exchange leveraging Content

Fragment Models, Content Fragments and Experience Fragments

o JavaScript libraries , React, Angular, ) and modern JavaScript tooling

(webpack, npm).

o Responsive Design, Bootstrap, CSS Preprocessors (LESS / SASS)

o Touch UI (Granite UI Library)

Back-end Development Experience

o Creating Backend Java OSGi Services, Schedulers, Workflows, Event and Job handlers.

o Configuring Author and Publish instances, Dispatchers and other Replication agents

o Sling, Java Content Repository (JCR) / CRX/DE Console

o Servlets, Servlet Filters and Java/JSP development

o Managing DAM Asset Content, Pages

Global Experience

o AEM 6.4 or higher versions, with experience in older versions being a nice to have

o Excellent written and oral communication skills

Front-End Skillset

Ability to create a UI component end to end with HTML, CSS, animations, and dynamic

interactions.

Working knowledge of UI frameworks (Tailwind, Bootstrap, etc), scalable UI patterns (Utility

CSS, BEM, etc).

Proficiency in any JavaScript libraries , React, Angular, , etc) and modern JavaScript

tooling (webpack, npm, etc).

Exposure to any traditional or headless CMS platforms but particularly Adobe Experience

Manager.

Interest in and knowledge of basic UX design principles, and a willingness to share ideas for

improvement.

Experience working with project managers, clients, and teams following Agile development

methodologies.

Familiarity with Git version control
