Key Responsibilities

• Academic Leadership
• Design, implement, and oversee the academic curriculum along with the academic team, in alignment with the school's vision and goals.
• Ensure the highest standards of music education through effective teaching methodologies and updated resources.
• Evaluate and enhance the performance of the teaching faculty.
• Operational Management
• Manage daily operations of the academic team, ensuring smooth functioning.
• Prepare and manage schedules, events, and examinations.
• Collaborate with administrative staff for seamless coordination.
• Student Development
• Monitor student progress and provide strategic direction for their musical growth.
• Oversee student orientation, and retention efforts
• Foster a nurturing environment encouraging creativity and discipline in students.
• Lead initiatives to prepare students for international music exams and performances.
• Lead initiatives to arrange concert visits, trip and competition relevant to Music
• Faculty Mentoring
• Guide and mentor faculty members to achieve their professional best.
• Encourage innovative teaching practices and ensure consistent professional development.
• Stakeholder Engagement
• Act as the primary point of contact for parents regarding academic matters.
• Participate in strategic planning meetings with the Directors and management.
• Represent the school in external events and collaborations.
• Industry Engagement
• Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals, partners, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate with a strong foundation in music education (Diploma/Degree in Music is preferred).
• Experience:
• 5-7 years of experience in music education or academic administration.
• Minimum 3 years in a leadership role managing a team or academic programs.
• Skills:
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle operational challenges efficiently.
• Knowledge of current trends in music education and industry standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals.
• Willing to travel extensively within Chennai.
