Dental Assistant

The Dental Assistant will support dentists and dental surgeons in all clinical procedures, ensure smooth patient flow, maintain hygiene and sterilization standards, and deliver a comfortable and professional experience to every patient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures (e.g., fillings, scaling, root canal, extractions).
- Prepare and organize dental instruments, materials, and equipment before and after procedures.
- Manage chairside assistance—ensuring suction, lighting, and materials are handled efficiently.
- Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols for all instruments and work areas.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (if certified).
- Record patient medical and dental histories accurately.
- Schedule appointments and help manage patient records.
- Ensure the operatory is clean, organized, and ready for each patient.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive dental practices.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma or Certification in Dental Assistance or relevant field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a dental clinic or hospital setup.
- Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and sterilization techniques.
- Good communication and patient-handling skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a clinical environment.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining digital records.
