Sr. Engineer- IT Global Infrastructure Network

Job Title:Sr. Engineer- IT Global Infrastructure NetworkSummary:We are looking for an experienced professional with expertise in Networking (P3 level), Network Security, and Microsoft Azure technologies to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure, with a strong focus on routing and switching, network security, and cloud solutions. You will ensure the security, reliability, and optimal performance of our network systems while also supporting and maintaining unified communications platforms.Responsibilities Include:

Routing and Switching:

• Design, deploy, and manage complex routing and switching solutions using Cisco R&S, and VMWare/Broadcom VeloCloud SD-WAN, or have experience in any of the similar SD-WAN Products/Solutions.
• Configure and optimize network devices, including routers, switches, and SD-WAN appliances, to meet the performance and security requirements.
• Implement and maintain routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP, ensuring efficient and reliable data flow.
• Cisco Nexus Datacenter products and technologies for designing and supporting our On-prem Datacenter products.

Wireless Technologies:

• Configure and manage Cisco wireless technologies and products, including Cisco wireless controllers, access points, and network authentication mechanisms.
• Optimize and troubleshoot wireless networks to ensure seamless connectivity and performance.
• Adequate knowledge on 802.1X/EAP/MAB

Network Security:

• Implement and manage network security products and proxy solutions, including SSEs like Zscaler ZIA, ZPA, ZDX, Palo Alto NGFW
•  AAA solutions like Cisco ISE and ForeScout NAC.
• Configure and maintain firewall policies, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other network security measures.
• Conduct regular network assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate security measures.
• DDoS Products: Tools and Technologies to remediate DDoS attacks

Load Balancing:

• Implement and manage load balancer solutions, specifically f5 /Azure WAF with a focus on Web Application Firewall (WAF) implementation and optimization.
• IP Address Management and DNS
• Manage and maintain Infoblox IPAM and DNS infrastructure, ensuring accurate IP address assignment and DNS resolution.

Microsoft Azure:

• Core Networking Infrastructure: This involves the design and implementation of the core networking infrastructure in Azure.
• Connectivity Services: These services provide connectivity between Azure resources, connectivity from an on-premises network to Azure resources, and branch-to-branch connectivity in Azure. Some of these services include Virtual Network (VNet), Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, NAT Gateway, Azure DNS, and Peering services.
• Application Protection Services: These services protect your applications in Azure. They include Load Balancer, Private Link, DDoS protection, Firewall, Network Security Groups, Web Application Firewall, and Virtual Network.
• Application Delivery Services: These services deliver applications in the Azure network. They include Content Delivery Network (CDN), Azure Front Door Service, Traffic Manager, Application Gateway, and Load Balancer.
• Network Monitoring: This involves monitoring your network resources using services like Network Watcher, ExpressRoute Monitor, Azure Monitor,
• Network Security: This involves securing network connectivity to Azure resources.
• Datacenter- Cisco Nexus Products: Cisco NX-OS, Nexus Hardware, and troubleshooting skills
• Virtual Port Channels (VPC): Learn how to configure and manage VPCs for link redundancy and load balancing.
• Fabric Path: Understand Fabric Path technology for scalable Layer 2 networks.
• VXLAN and EVPN: Gain knowledge of Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN) and Ethernet VPN (EVPN) for network virtualization and segmentation.

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business, Math, Engineering or related field or equivalent is required with minimum of 10+ years of experience in networking, network security, and unified communications roles.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies, Cisco wireless technologies, and network security products like Zscaler, Palo Alto NGFW.
• Functional area knowledge in one or more functional areas
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network and Network security-related issues.
• Proven advanced analytical and diagnostics skills for complex networking/Network Security issues.
• Excellent planning for migrations and migration strategies
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and end-users on network-related issues.
• Familiarity with load balancer technologies; Good to have F5 implementation skills.
• Experience with Infoblox IPAM and DNS management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements.
• Proficiency in voice/Telephony technologies, including MS-Teams Direct Routing and Operator Connect.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system designs, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
• Solid understanding of the ITIL framework.
• Relevant certifications, such as CCNP or Zscaler. PCNSEs are highly desirable.
• Basic understanding and hands-on experience with VMWare (ESXi)
