Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid/on-site role located in Bengaluru for a Senior Graphic Designer. We're looking for a Senior Graphic Designer who can shape the
visual world of Penumbra

• across packaging, illustration and digital storytelling - and lead a small creative team as we grow.

What You'll Do

• Lead Packaging & Product Design:

Create imaginative, high-quality packaging, inserts, and tactile kit materials - balancing visual storytelling, production requirements and child-centered design.

• Develop Storytelling Assets:

Design visual and motion assets - including illustrations, short videos and animations - that bring Penumbra's stories and products to life across print and digital media.

• Design Retail & Display Collateral:

Conceptualize and produce point-of-sale displays, unboxing experiences and retail visuals that delight children, parents and educators.

• Build Penumbra's Visual Language:

Define and maintain a cohesive design system - typography, color palettes, illustration and motion style-cross packaging, digital, and marketing platforms.

• Design for Campaigns & Communication:

Collaborate with product and content teams to create cohesive storytelling campaigns, including social visuals, motion-led ads and video-based brand narratives.

• Oversee Production & Vendor Coordination:

Manage design timelines, printing, video editing, and production workflows, ensuring high-quality execution from concept to shelf.

• Mentor & Lead a Creative Team:

Guide designers, illustrators, and external collaborators to deliver beautiful, on-brand and emotionally resonant work.

Who You Are

• 6-10 years of experience in
  graphic design for consumer brands

, ideally in children's toys, creative products, publishing or educational design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing packaging, illustration, and storytelling-driven design - including digital and motion-led projects.
- Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign; After Effects or Premiere Pro).
- Strong understanding of how visual, motion, and narrative design come together to build immersive brand worlds.
- The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and able to translate experiential story objectives and marketing goals into effective visual communication.
- Proven ability to lead creative projects and manage small teams or external partners.
- Experience working closely with printers, video editors and production vendors.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable taking projects from idea to delivery.
- A designer with empathy, imagination and playfulness - you design to make people
feel and imagine.
