Civil Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Civil Engineer (Executive/Assistant Manager) with strong expertise in industrial/greenfield project execution to lead civil construction activities for a Stainless Steel Plant Cold Rolling and Hot Rolling Mills. The candidate will be responsible for site execution, quality control, safety compliance, and coordination with contractors and consultants for civil works, foundations, structures, roads, utilities, and other plant infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead civil site execution for foundations, RCC structures, structural steel erections, PEBs, silos, pipe racks, buffer hoppers, gantry cranes, EOT cranes, and other plant structures.
• Supervise earthworks, excavation, soil stabilization, compaction, grading, and leveling.
• Oversee construction of roads, pavements, flooring, parking areas, drainage systems, stormwater channels, and cable trenches.
• Manage building construction including admin buildings, utility buildings, control rooms, canteens, compressor houses, and other plant infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, statutory regulations, safety protocols, and environmental norms.
• Review drawings, GA drawings, shop drawings, BBS, BOQ, SOW, and approve site execution plans.
• Coordinate with contractors, sub-vendors, consultants, and project teams for timely milestone achievement.
• Prepare project documentation: DPR, WPR, MPR, method statements, site inspection reports, and quality checklists.
• Manage budgeting, cost estimation, rate analysis, material requisitions, contractor bills, and reconciliation statements.
• Drive project planning, scheduling (Primavera/MSP), and progress monitoring to ensure timely completion.
• Lead QA/QC activities, testing, and commissioning support for civil structures.

Candidate Profile

• Education: B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: 6–12 years in greenfield or industrial EPC projects, preferably in steel, petrochemical, power, or heavy engineering sectors.
• Hands-on experience with industrial foundations, RCC structures, structural steel, PEB, silos, pipe racks, buffer hoppers, and cranes.
• Strong understanding of earthworks, roads, pavements, drainage systems, and utilities.
• Proficient in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, BOQ/BBS preparation, and contractor management.
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ISO compliance, safety protocols, and statutory regulations.
• Software skills: AutoCAD, Primavera P6, MS Project, MS Office.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills for managing multidisciplinary teams at site.
