About the Project:

GVPR Engineers Ltd. is executing one of the prestigious Water Resources Department (WRD), Government of Bihar projects the Transfer of Surplus Flood Water of Ganga River to Badua & Kharagpur Reservoirs. This large-scale infrastructure project involves the planning, design, and construction of pipelines, intake wells, pump houses, detention tanks, and reservoir systems for flood water management and irrigation enhancement.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and technically strong Senior Civil Engineer to manage and oversee site-level civil works, structural design coordination, and quality execution for the project. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring timely completion, technical compliance, and smooth coordination between design, survey, and execution teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and monitor execution of civil works including pump house, intake well, pipeline trenching, and detention tank construction.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, structural layouts, and design details.
  • Coordinate with design & planning teams for alignment approvals, layout finalization, and site readiness.
  • Ensure implementation as per WRD specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
  • Manage land development, levelling, and foundation works at site.
  • Liaise with consultants, IIT vetting teams, and client representatives for design and structural approvals.
  • Conduct material inspections, BOQ verification, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Maintain daily site records, progress reports, and ensure adherence to project schedules.
  • Identify and resolve technical/site-related issues to avoid delays.
  • Ensure EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) compliance across site operations.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • 612 years of relevant experience in execution of water resource / irrigation / pipeline / dam / canal projects.
  • Hands-on experience in WRD or government water infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and civil design review.
  • Strong knowledge of construction quality control, quantity estimation, and project documentation.
  • Proven ability to lead field teams and coordinate with multiple departments.
  • Excellent communication and report preparation skills.
