Job Title: Logistics/Warehouse Software Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and innovative
Software Developer
to design, develop, and implement a
Logistics and Warehouse Management System (WMS)
from the ground up. This role involves end-to-end responsibility for building scalable, secure, and efficient software tailored to optimize logistics, inventory, and warehouse operations. You will work closely with business stakeholders, warehouse managers, and logistics teams to translate operational needs into functional software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Design & Architecture
  • Design and develop a modular architecture for the WMS, ensuring scalability and future integration with ERP, SAP, and external logistics platforms.
  • Define database structures for inventory, shipments, orders, tracking, and warehouse layout.
  • Software Development
  • Build core modules such as inventory tracking, order management, barcode/RFID integration, inbound/outbound logistics, and reporting dashboards.
  • Develop APIs for real-time data exchange with third-party carriers (DHL, FedEx, UPS, etc.) and IoT-enabled devices (scanners, conveyors, smart shelves).
  • Implement automation features like demand forecasting, pick-pack-ship workflows, and route optimization.
  • Testing & Deployment
  • Create unit tests, integration tests, and user acceptance tests to ensure robustness and reliability.
  • Deploy software in cloud/on-prem environments ensuring high availability and data security.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Collect feedback from users and stakeholders to enhance features and usability.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise:
  • Proficiency in languages such as
    C#, Java, Python, or
    .
  • Experience with
    web frameworks
    (ASP.NET Core, Spring Boot, Django, or Express).
  • Strong knowledge of
    SQL/NoSQL databases
    (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
  • Experience with
    API development
    (REST, GraphQL).
  • Familiarity with
    cloud platforms
    (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Logistics/Warehouse Knowledge:
  • Understanding of warehouse processes: inbound/outbound, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipment tracking.
  • Experience with
    barcode scanning, RFID systems, and IoT integration
    is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage full software development lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication skills to gather requirements and present solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in
    Logistics, Supply Chain, or ERP/WMS software development
    .
  • Knowledge of
    SAP modules (MM, WM, EWM, SD)
    integration.
  • Exposure to
    AI/ML for demand forecasting
    or
    route optimization algorithms
    .
  • Background in
    DevOps (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes)
    .
