Computer Vision Engineer – Pavement Distress DetectionLocation: Mumbai

Employment Type: Full-time OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Computer Vision Engineer to design and implement cutting-edge models for detecting road distress features using high-resolution imagery, Laser profiler or LiDAR data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and fine-tune segmentation and detection models for road surface defects using high accuracy laser profiler data.
  • Process and analyze high-resolution images and 3D LiDAR/range maps to extract and classify features.
  • Build and optimize data annotation, cleaning, and management pipelines for training CV models.
  • Design, implement, and deploy ML algorithms within computer vision frameworks for spatial analysis.
  • Test and validate models to ensure accuracy, robustness, and reliability in real-world scenarios.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver intelligent solutions aligned with project requirements.
  • Maintain, update, and monitor CV systems for performance and functional integrity over time.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, with strong image processing capabilities.
  • Expertise in computer vision libraries and frameworks like YOLO, ResNet, ViT, FastRcnn, Mask Rcnn, OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras.
  • Hands-on experience in preparing data, training, optimization of training and inference pipeline 3D and 2D data analysis.
  • Ability to work with massive datasets and apply ML techniques for image-based prediction.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate, enhance, and troubleshoot model performance.

Preferred Extras

  • Experience with ML and CV tools such as Roboflow, Ultralytics and techniques such as Sahi, Filtering methods such as FFT, Highpass.
  • Experience with image/feature augmentation techniques such as Albumentations, Labelme, CVAT.
  • Prior contributions to open-source CV projects or published research in related domains.
