
Hiring HCC Certified coders

Role & responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical records to accurately abstract HCC codes in compliance with official coding guidelines and client-specific requirements.
- Perform detailed chart reviews, including provider documentation, inpatient, and outpatient records to identify valid HCC diagnosis (Part C & Part D).
- Ensure accurate and complete capture of diagnosis codes from approved medical record documentation sources.
- Adhere to all CMS, AAPC, and AHIMA coding standards and updates.
- Consistently meet or exceed established productivity and accuracy benchmarks.
- Communicate effectively with team members and reporting managers to resolve coding-related queries in a timely manner.
- Complete administrative and documentation tasks as required by management.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and data privacy standards.
Preferred candidate profile:
- AAPC or AHIMA Certified Coder (e.g., CPC, CRC, CCS-P, etc.)
- Proficiency in ICD-9-CM coding (knowledge of ICD-10-CM is a plus)
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
- Familiarity with official HCC coding and chart review guidelines.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Flexible and adaptable to meet client goals and evolving requirements
