An enthusiastic and driven automation test engineer is sought to contribute to our dynamic testing team. This role will involve running, designing, developing, and maintaining In Sprint & E2E regression automated/manual test scripts and frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between manual testing practices and robust automation solutions, working independently while collaborating effectively with Development and QA teams.

Focus: Emphasizes both technical contribution and collaborative/independent work nature.

Responsibilities:

Experience with Java and Python, and Selenium WebDriver

Run automation suites, interpret failures, and generate detailed reports.

Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.

Conduct exploratory and ad-hoc manual tests as needed, leveraging manual testing experience to identify automation opportunities.

Assist in improving the robustness, scalability, and maintainability of existing automation frameworks.

Work effectively with developers, business analysts, and other QA engineers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

Independently investigate and resolve issues related to test environments, test data, and automation script failures.

Maintain clear and concise documentation for test cases, automation scripts, and test results.

Experience:

Minimum 8-9+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance

Banking and financial domain experience

Demonstrated experience transitioning manual test cases into automated scripts.

Exposure with Selenium WebDriver for web application automation.

Familiarity with various testing frameworks integrated with Selenium.

Solid understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).

Exposure to BitBucket/Git or similar version control systems.

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience integrating automation tests into tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

Exposure on functional Test Automation & hybrid, keyword-driven, data-driven, Behaviour Driven automation frameworks.

QA Experience in defining, designing & executing test cases

Create, manage and own testing documentation in Confluence and JIRA project repositories.

Track QA metrics, estimate work and generate reports for management reporting

Well versed with Zephyr in Jira for managing test plans, environment specific test cycles and strategies for enterprise applications.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
