Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Manual Tester with strong understanding of .NET applications to support our QA efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing web-based and/or desktop applications built on the .NET framework, identifying defects, documenting test results, and collaborating with developers to ensure high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Develop and execute detailed, comprehensive manual test cases and test scenarios.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, usability, and system testing on .NET-based applications.
  • Log defects clearly with steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual results, and supporting screenshots/logs.
  • Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and validate fixes.
  • Verify builds, perform smoke testing, and support UAT cycles.
  • Ensure test coverage for new features and enhancements.
  • Provide accurate test estimates and report testing progress and quality metrics.
  • Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment (if applicable).

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of experience in manual software testing.
  • Hands-on experience testing .NET applications (web, desktop, or API).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle.
  • Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, TFS, TestRail).
  • Ability to read and understand basic C#/.NET code flows (not mandatory but preferred).
  • Good understanding of relational databases (SQL queries for validation).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with API testing (Postman, Swagger).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in a .NET environment.
  • Exposure to performance or security testing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of automation testing (Selenium, Playwright, or similar) is an advantage—but not required.

Deliverables

  • Detailed test plans and executed test cases.
  • Defect reports with complete documentation.
  • Daily or weekly status reports (based on project needs).
  • UAT support and final test summary report.

  • Please specify hourly rate or fixed-price per milestone.
  • Expected availability (hours per week or per sprint).
