About the Institution: A nationally accredited (NABH) 500-bed teaching hospital and major healthcare provider in the Northeast region, dedicated to world-class medical care. Established decades ago, it operates numerous general and super specialties with 24x7 advanced services. The institution is academically affiliated with a prominent, decades-old University offering 57 courses and 500-bed super specialty hospital.

About the Department: The Department of Dermatology is an established specialty offering comprehensive skin, hair, and nail care. It is supported by a large, multi-specialty Intensive Care complex. Diagnostic and therapeutic services are comprehensive and include modern equipment, a 24-hour Central Laboratory, and specialized facilities.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

Mandatory Qualifications: DM Dermatology or DNB-SS Dermatology. The degree must be recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Minimum Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience post-MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS (DM Dermatology or DNB-SS Dermatology) is required.

Exceptional Candidates: Candidates with 1-4 years of experience prior to obtaining the Mandatory Qualifications, and at least 1 year of experience post-Mandatory Qualifications, will be considered.

Academic Focus: Relevant work experience and active participation in academic activities within recognized universities, medical colleges, or teaching hospital environments is a key area of focus.

Technical Proficiency and Expertise (Subject-Specific)

• Extensive documented experience in performing a wide range of medical, procedural, and cosmetic dermatology, including:
• Comprehensive management of complex inflammatory and infectious dermatoses (e.g., psoriasis, eczema, bullous diseases).
• Expertise in Dermatosurgery and Aesthetic Procedures, including skin biopsies, cryotherapy, electrocautery, and chemical peels. * Experience with Lasers and other light-based therapies for various skin conditions and cosmetic indications.
• Management of pediatric dermatology cases and dermatological emergencies.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and treating conditions related to hair and nail disorders and mucosal lesions.
• Clinical leadership and management of departmental development and emergencies in a care setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for the Dermatology Department, working to lead and strengthen comprehensive dermatological services.
• Perform scheduled and emergency dermatology procedures and interventions (24x7 support).
• Offer comprehensive consultant services to the Outpatient Department (OPD) and inpatient admissions.
• Manage critical care patients with severe dermatological conditions within the Intensive Care complex.
• Contribute to clinical training, research, and departmental development initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

• Remuneration: Highly competitive salary package ranging from approximately 4 Lakh to 8 Lakh per month, commensurate with experience.

• Retention Bonus/Incentives: The compensation structure includes a retention bonus paid at the end of the 1st year and 2nd year tenure. The successful candidate will also be eligible for a variable pay component (Clinical Incentive).
