Role & responsibilities:-

A Lab Technician performs routine technical tasks and experiments in a laboratory, supporting scientific investigations and experiments. This includes tasks like collecting, preparing, and testing samples, maintaining equipment, recording data, and following safety protocols. They are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of experiments while maintaining a clean and organized lab environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Sample Handling: Collecting, receiving, labeling, and storing samples, including blood, tissue, and other substances.
  • Testing and Analysis: Performing laboratory tests, analyzing samples, and recording results according to standard procedures.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintaining, calibrating, cleaning, and sterilizing laboratory equipment.
  • Data Management: Recording and managing data accurately and in the specified format, including both written and electronic records.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhering to safety guidelines, managing hazardous substances, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Supplies and Inventory: Ordering and maintaining laboratory supplies and inventory.
  • Reporting: Preparing reports and summaries of findings to present to senior staff.
  • Technical Support: Providing technical support to researchers and other laboratory users.
  • Experimentation: Designing and executing laboratory tests and experiments, including controlled trials.
  • Continuous Improvement: Keeping up-to-date with relevant scientific and technical developments.
